On May 31, 1952, Ralph E. Dade sued Dorothy Laird Dade in Fulton County for divorce, alleging cruel treatment as his ground therefor. Answering the petition, the defendant denied its alleged acts of cruelty, and by cross-action, in which she prayed for divorce and alimony, alleged that the plaintiff was guilty of habitual intoxication and of wilfully inflicting acts of cruelty on her.
