This is an appeal from a decree of divorce nisi in the Probate Court for the libellant, which ordered the libellant to pay the libellee, as alimony, $50 weekly and the further sum of $10,000 forthwith. G.L. (Ter. Ed.) c. 208, § 34. The decree was awarded on the grounds of cruel and abusive treatment on the part of the libellee and the libellant was given custody of a minor son.
