The plaintiff brought this action to recover damages alleged to have been sustained as a consequence of malpractice on the part of the defendant and recovered a verdict of $25,000. The motion of the defendant for a directed verdict was denied. He subsequently moved for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and in the alternative that the verdict be set aside as contrary to the law and the evidence and excessive.
