The defendant was found guilty of contempt of court for violating the provisions of a temporary restraining order which prohibited him from molesting his wife and child. On October 27, 1956, three days after the order was served upon him, he entered the home of his wife's mother and stepfather and assaulted both of them, his wife, and his child with a gun.
