This is an appeal from an order and judgment of the district court of Leavenworth County denying petitioner's application for a writ of habeas corpus.

Petitioner was originally charged in Russell County, Kansas, with the crime of forgery in the second degree. He was represented by court appointed counsel and pled guilty to the charge. He was subsequently sentenced to the Kansas State Penitentiary...
