Appellant, charged with the murder of his wife, was convicted of the crime of manslaughter at the May, 1956, Term of General Sessions Court for Union County and sentenced to serve three years imprisonment.

At approximately 7:45 A.M., on December 14, 1949, appellant, while in his home in Union, South Carolina, shot and killed his wife, Mrs. Lilly Mae Allen, to whom he had been married approximately ten years. Thereafter...
