Motions pursuant to sections 457-a and 549 of the Civil Practice Act by the Village of Herkimer, one of the defendants in this action, to set aside verdicts returned by the jury in the amount of $30,000 and $5,000, in favor of the plaintiffs, Lauanna Darling and Harry Darling, respectively. A similar motion on behalf of the other defendant, Robert Ashley, has been denied.
