Leslie M. Taylor was indicted for murder in the second degree by the Franklin County Grand Jury at the September 1955 term. The indictment, in addition to other allegations, charged that on or about September 13, 1955, within said county, Taylor "did purposely and maliciously kill Lewis M. Lupo."
