Complaint was made in the recorder's court of the city of Detroit against defendant and appellant, John Cole, Jr., his father, John Cole, Sr., and his brother, Robert Cole, for the offense of obtaining money under false pretenses in violation of CL 1948, § 750.218 (Stat Ann § 28.415). Following a preliminary examination the case was dismissed as to Robert, the other defendants being held for trial. The jury acquitted John Cole...
