Appellant was convicted by a jury of willfully causing, encouraging, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor female. The pertinent portions of the statute involved are as follows:

"* * * Any person who by act or omission willfully causes, encourages, or contributes to any condition which would bring a child within the provisions of this chapter, or who by such act or omission tends to cause...
