This is a tort action wherein the plaintiff, Charles P. Carson, seeks to recover from the defendants, Easton Thibodeaux, Gervis Thibodeaux and Berchman Thibodeaux, the sum of $18,290 in damages resulting from an accident in which a motorcycle owned and driven by the plaintiff collided with a truck driven by Easton Thibodeaux. Article 2 of the original petition reads as follows:
