The question is whether an application for suspension of deportation filed October 16, 1952, which was subsequent to the date of enactment but prior to the effective date of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952,1 should be acted upon by the Attorney General under the powers conferred upon him by the Immigration Act of 19172 or under the more stringent provisions of the 1952 Act....
