On the 29th day of October, 1949, the petitioner, Elbert Riddle, was convicted of murder in the first degree in Comanche County, Oklahoma, and is now serving a life sentence in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. This is an appeal from the judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, denying his petition for a writ of habeas corpus and remanding him to the custody of the Warden...
