LEE, J.

Willie Lee Barnett, indicted for the murder of Sam Gordon, was convicted by the jury of manslaughter, and was sentenced to serve a term of 20 years in the state penitentiary. From the judgment entered, he appealed.

The shooting occurred on Saturday night, June 30, 1956, at the Silver Moon, a cafe and dance hall for colored people, about 3 miles from Vossburg in Jasper County. Death from the wound resulted about two weeks later. Sam Gordon, Ruthie Mae...
