These actions arise out of an automobile-tractor collision which occurred at the intersection of a private driveway and a graveled road in rural Freeborn County. Helmer J. Norby, who will be referred to as the plaintiff, was the owner of the automobile which, at the time of the accident, was being driven by his son, Alan James Norby, 18 years of age.
