Starkey, deceased, brought this action against defendant, The Farmers State Bank, Aurora, Nebraska a corporation, seeking to recover $700, the principal amount of an allegedly unpaid certificate of deposit issued to George Starkey by defendant on December 5, 1919, together with interest thereon at four percent for 1 year from the date thereof.
