Appellant sued to recover damages alleged to have resulted from injuries suffered from a blow administered to him by one Peter Chavez, a drunk man. The parties were in a saloon whose proprietor had been requested on numerous occasions not to furnish Mr. Chavez alcoholic beverages sufficient to cause him "to become intoxicated thereon."
