Plaintiff, Warner Heacox, brought this action in trespass against Joseph F. Polce, defendant, to recover damages for personal injuries sustained when he was struck by an automobile owned and operated by defendant. The jury returned a verdict which read as follows:

"And now, to wit: Feb. 6, 1957, we, the Jurors empounded in the above entitled case, find no negligence on part of Defendant Proven. We therefore find for the Defendant...
