Bruce A. MacEwing and Sam E. Hewett were accused by information in Count I of conspiracy to commit abortion and in Count II with abortion. Trial was to a jury, which found them guilty as charged. On an appeal taken by defendants the judgments were reversed. (People v. MacEwing, 45 Cal.2d 218 [288 P.2d 257].) At the retrial, which was also to a jury, MacEwing was convicted...
