Samuel Davis filed an action as a laborer in Atkinson Superior Court against Mrs. Henry Davis in which he sought to obtain a general judgment against the defendant and a special lien upon certain of the defendant's property. Attached to the petition was a notice of lien filed in the office of the clerk of the superior court.
