On December 18, 1950, the respondent entered into a contract with the appellants for the construction of a metallic masterplate floor in the building to be used for roller skating. The contract called for a consideration of $3,960. Respondent began construction of the floor, and during the course of the construction he was paid the sum of $3,000 on the contract....
