This is a lawsuit between rival claimants for lands in Chicot County. The case was originally filed in the chancery court, but by consent was transferred to law and was tried on an agreed statement of facts. Wells, as plaintiff, claimed title to certain lands by reason of (a) a deed from Daisy Edwards, an alleged former owner, and (b) a deed from the Cypress Creek Drainage District.1 Brown, as defendant, claimed title...
