Appellee Bankers Life Company issued a policy of insurance on the life of Otis Carl Murray. His wife, appellant Sarah Lou Murray, was the named beneficiary in the policy. Otis Carl Murray died on July 24, 1955. On August 24, 1955, appellant was indicted for his murder. Appellant sued appellee to recover the proceeds of the policy, with penalties, interest, attorney's fees and costs. Appellee deposited the proceeds in the registry of the court, and invoked...
