This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction on a felony charge, violation of section 211, Penal Code (armed robbery). Appellant, Albert Hocking, entered a plea of "not guilty by reason of insanity" on June 9, 1955, and on August 1, 1955, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery. He was declared sane by a jury on August 16, 1955, and the following day was sentenced to state prison.
