The plaintiff sues for increased retired pay which, he says, is due him under certain statutes for long service in the Navy. He first enlisted in the Navy on May 17, 1915, and served continuously under successive enlistments until July 1, 1931, when he was transferred to the Fleet Reserve, credited with 16 years or more of active service. He was immediately recalled to active duty and served continuously until December 8, 1945, when he was released...
