By the first special ground it is contended that the judge abused his discretion in invoking the sequestration-of-witnesses rule as against one of the codefendants named in the indictment who was not on trial, in view of the fact that the court allowed a witness for the State to remain in the courtroom during the progress of the trial at the request of the solicitor-general.
