The suit was filed on May 28, 1955, issue was joined on June 9, 1955, and on June 9, 1955 the Clerk of the City Court notified counsel for defendant by letter that the case had been assigned for trial on Monday, July 11, 1955 at 9:00 a. m. at the City Hall in Bogalusa.
