This is an appeal by the defendants Vincent Raymond Walsh and Joseph M. Stewart from judgments of conviction on two violations of section 68 of the Penal Code and from orders denying their motions for a new trial. Section 68 provides in its pertinent part as follows: "Every ... employee ... of the State of California, county or city therein..., who asks, receives, or agrees to receive, any bribe, upon any agreement...
