Woodrow Bryant, a Negro man, thirty-eight years of age, had been a regular employee of Dixie Pine Products Company since August 1, 1946. His health had been good since his marriage to Mattie Mae Bryant in 1941. On August 5, 1952, in the course of his employment, the boom of a winch, which was being used to pick up timbers, fell and hit him on the left side of his back....
