L. D. Ratliff was injured and sustained property damage when his automobile was struck by one operated by Pauline Mayo. In his suit for damages the court overruled the defendant's motion for a directed verdict and submitted the case to the jury, which was unable to agree upon a verdict. The defendant then moved for judgment "as if the requested verdict had been directed." The court sustained this motion and entered judgment dismissing the complaint...
