The plaintiff in these actions is suing to recover damages for injuries sustained by him in two separate and unrelated accidents. The first accident occurred on August 13, 1950, upon the steamship Sea Leader, owned by the defendant Whitehall, operated by the defendant Stevenson and chartered by the defendant Isbrandtsen.
