This appeal which is the sequel to that involved in Glenn v. Haynes, 192 Va. 574, 66 S.E.2d 509, 26 A.L.R.2d 1334, has its origin in an action in detinue instituted in December, 1949, by Ara C. Glenn against Edward T. Haynes for the recovery of certain items of jewelry of the alleged total value of $29,765. After a plea of non detinet there was a trial before a jury.
