The plaintiffs, four in number, are taxpaying residents of the city of Stamford. The three defendants are the zoning board, hereinafter called the board, Arthur V. Swinnerton, the board's enforcement officer, and the Louis Paul in Stamford Corporation. In 1954, the board amended § 14 of the zoning regulations of the city.
