This is an action brought by Gertrude Houck and her husband for damages resulting from a traffic collision in which Mrs. Houck was injured. The jury awarded Mrs. Houck $18,000 in damages and awarded her husband $1,500. The appellant's principal contentions are that Mrs. Houck was guilty of contributory negligence as a matter of law and that the larger verdict is excessive.
