This is an action by Thomas M. Morris, petitioner, to enforce an attorney's lien for fees by virtue of an alleged contract with one John W. Shultz, which petitioner claimed entitled him to one-third of the amount of a $40,000 settlement that the respondent had made with Shultz after petitioner had been discharged as his attorney.
