The defendant was charged, tried and convicted of burglary in the second degree, as defined by G.S. 1949, 21-514, and of attempted rape upon a six-year-old girl, as defined by G.S. 1949, 21-424 and 21-101. By reason of three prior felony convictions he was sentenced on each count to life imprisonment in the Kansas State Penitentiary under the provisions of G.S. 1949, 21-107a, the sentences to run concurrently...
