On March 30, 1953 John W. Adkinson and Bessie Mae Adkinson, appellees, petitioned in the Circuit Court of Walton County for the adoption of Joseph Lee Freeman, a minor. John William Freeman, natural father of the child, the appellant here, asked in his answer that the petition be dismissed.
