The defendants, Samuel Andrew Lindstrom, Senior, and Samuel Andrew Lindstrom, Junior, were found guilty by a jury in the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania of wilfully and knowingly attempting to defeat and evade income tax for the years 1947, 1949 and 1950 in violation of section 145 (b) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1939, 26 U.S.C.A. § 145(b).
