Defendants appeal from the judgment on the ground that the award of damages for personal injuries is excessive.

The accident occurred on October 11, 1952, at the intersection of North Figueroa Street and Avenue 43 in the city of Los Angeles. The operator of defendant's truck drove through a red traffic signal and collided with plaintiff, Richard Harris, who was on his motorcycle, seriously injuring him.
