On October 6, 1953, the Arlington County Board of Zoning Appeals granted the request of Carroll Wright for a variance to a section of the zoning ordinance. The present appellants, who were petitioners in the court below, challenged the ruling, and on November 5, 1953, filed their petition with the clerk of the Circuit Court seeking a writ of certiorari and a restraining order.
