Thomas Lee Short, an infant who sued by his next friend, instituted action against Arthur Reuben Long to recover damages for personal injuries inflicted upon him when an automobile that he was operating collided with a truck owned and driven by defendant Long. In the grounds of defense and counterclaim filed by Long, he denied that he caused the collision and alleged that Short's negligence was the sole proximate cause of the mishap.
