In the midafternoon of October 16, 1953, the appellee, Mrs. Marian Ward, was injured while a passenger on a motor bus of the Conley Bus Company, the name under which Luther Conley operated as a common carrier. Conley died pending Mrs. Ward's action for damages, and the case was revived against his administrator. The plaintiff recovered a judgment for $25,000.
