The plaintiffs ("the Parnells" hereafter) sued the defendant insurance company ("Centennial" hereafter) in two counts on an alleged oral maritime contract (1) of insurance or (2) to insure certain fishing vessels owned by the Parnells, to recover for the loss of one of the vessels, the "Parnell". The jury found in favor of the Parnells, assessing their damages at $20,000, and awarding them $1,450 interest and an attorney's fee of $4...
