Plaintiff sues for the lump-sum payment of $500 for each year of his active service in the Air Corps under the provisions of section 6 of the Act of June 3, 1941, 55 Stat. 240, 10 U.S.C.A. § 300a.

Plaintiff was appointed a second lieutenant in the Field Artillery Reserve on June 1, 1937. He entered upon extended active duty on January 20, 1941, under his Field Artillery Reserve commission and served on active duty until May 12, 1946...
