This was an action based on fraud and deceit. Appellant, plaintiff below, sued defendant alleging that he had fraudulently induced her to enter into a lease agreement for the rental of certain premises at $125 per month, and that representations were made by defendant that that amount was the rent ceiling fixed by the Administrator of Rent Control, when, in fact, no ceiling had ever been applied for or placed on the premises.
