On February 10, 1953, claimant made an initial claim for unemployment benefits pursuant to the Employment Security Law, I.C. § 72-1301 et seq. Immediately prior to making the claim, he had been employed by the Day Mines, Inc., as a cager and motorman. He had been laid off on account of plant curtailment.
