This is an action for damages by a real estate broker. The trial court without a jury found for defendant and entered judgment on the verdict. Plaintiff has appealed.

In December 1949, plaintiff, a licensed real estate broker, met with attorney Ashbach with respect to the sale of the Pershing Hotel in Chicago. Ashbach had previously been retained by Dr. Howard, a hotel corporation stockholder...
