The suit is the outgrowth of an automobile collision that occurred on a public highway in Polk County on January 8, 1950. It was instituted by the appellee, A. D. Holbrook, who will be also referred to as plaintiff, to recover for both personal injuries and loss of property. The defendant, John D. Prater, in his turn, cross-acted, seeking to recover for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained by both himself and his wife. Trial to a jury...
