On June 12, 1953, there was a physical encounter between Millet, the plaintiff, and Cole, one of the defendants. Millet, alleging that Cole without provocation struck him in the face with his fist, brings this suit seeking to recover from Cole $50,000 for pain and suffering, embarrassment and humiliation, lost wages, and medical expenses.
