The plaintiff, Alvin Behrens, brought this action at law in the district court for Gage County against the defendant, Robert Gottula, to recover damages for destruction of the plaintiff's property by fire alleged to have been caused by the defendant's negligent operation of a defective motor while shelling corn for the plaintiff.
